Welcome to BlitzTrials. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BlitzTrials platform, including any associated software, websites, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Platform Scope & Intended Use
BlitzTrials provides a platform for the creation, deployment, and management of online assessments. The Platform is specifically designed for:
- Research assessments and behavioral studies
- Educational quizzes and developmental surveys
- Pilot testing and platform evaluations
- Competency checks and other low-risk evaluation activities
Users remain solely responsible for determining whether their assessment content and delivery methodology are appropriate for online deployment via BlitzTrials.
2. Data Collection & Privacy Commitment
We believe in data ownership and privacy by design. To review our comprehensive approach to participant data, please refer to our Privacy & Data Ownership policy.
BlitzTrials is designed to minimize the collection of participant-identifying information and does not require such information for standard assessment deployment. Users remain responsible for the storage, security, encryption, and management of any participant-identifiable information maintained within their own systems, databases, spreadsheets, or institutional records.
3. User Responsibilities & Ethics Compliance
As an investigator, researcher, educator, or administrator utilizing BlitzTrials, you represent and warrant that:
- You have obtained all necessary consents, approvals, and ethical clearances (e.g., Institutional Review Board or Ethics Committee approval) required to conduct your assessments.
- You will not use the Platform to collect highly sensitive personally identifiable information (PII) or protected health information (PHI) unless strictly necessary and properly authorized by your institution.
- You will use anonymized or pseudonymous participant access tokens wherever feasible.
4. Assessment Security Limitations
While BlitzTrials implements reasonable technical safeguards to protect assessment content and participant access, no internet-based platform can guarantee absolute confidentiality.
Users acknowledge that assessment questions, answer options, and related content may be viewed, copied, photographed, or shared by participants or third parties. BlitzTrials should not be relied upon as the sole security mechanism for high-stakes examinations (such as professional licensing, final university exams, or certifications) where unauthorized disclosure of questions may result in significant academic, professional, legal, or financial consequences.
5. Limitation of Liability
By using the Platform, users accept that assessment content is deployed at their own discretion and risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BlitzTrials shall not be liable for:
- Academic consequences, examination compromise, or content redistribution.
- Question bank exposure or answer disclosure.
- Participant misconduct or unauthorized sharing of assessment materials.
- Direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Platform.
6. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify BlitzTrials of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
7. Modifications to Terms
BlitzTrials reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of these Terms and by displaying a prominent notice within the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
